How to cook Sausage & Kale Stew with White Beans

1. Place chicken broth, tomatoes, water and beans into a 6-qt slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours. Stir in rice, and cook another 2 hours.
2. Meanwhile, in a medium skillet, heat grape seed oil over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic, and cook, stirring often, 5-7 minutes or until translucent.
3. Once onion mixture is cooked, add basil, thyme, salt, pepper and red pepper flakes. Add sausage pieces, and cook, stirring often, 5-7 minutes or until sausage is browned.
4. Once beans and rice are cooked, stir in sausage mixture and kale. Evenly divide among 4-6 bowls and evenly top with shredded parmesan cheese.
